Started watching Mindhunter yesterday.
4 episodes in and I'm hooked. Loving it.
Excellent writing, directing and acting. David Fincher directed the first episode and looks like he's involved with this show. No wonders it's good.
Gotta do some house cleaning today, but outside of that it's going to be a Mindhunter and probably, Infinity War Sunday for me.

Finished MindHunter yesterday.
I felt a little dissatisfied with the finale, mostly since I have to wait for season 2 (where details of a story line being slowly introduced, will be presented).
Anyway, it's still a good show. Yes, and it's dialog heavy as has been mentioned before.
PS: Folks who like repetitive themes like watching Walt Jr eat breakfast everyday (in Breaking Bad), will be treated with Jonathan Groff brushing his teeth every episode.

Nobody ever replied to my GLOW thread so I'm assuming nobody watched, but it really is a good show. Season 2 just came out the other day, I finished it up yesterday. It was another enjoyable season of television ... has some laughs, has some feels ... pretty binge-watchable season (the episodes are all half-hour-ish except for the last one that's a little longer) ... I think this also helps the show not be filled with fluff that brings down the quality.
No other Netflix shows on the horizon that I'm aware of this year.

Anyone watching Disenchantment? It's a new cartoon from Matt Groening. I'm a few episodes in, been enjoying it so far. If you wanted to loosely describe it you might say its like a medieval Futurama. I've seen some mixed reviews of it going around the interwebs but I've been entertained enough by it through six episodes.

Not sure if Bacon and I were the only ones to watch season one, but season two of Ozark came out today if anyone is interested. Season one wasn't bad if you missed it, might be something to check out if you need something to watch.
I remember seeing Demetri Martin on like Conan or somebody years and years ago when I don't think he was as well known, and he was always hilarious. Seems like he went on to do good things.

Loved Season 1 and have been waaaaiting… We did GLOW too. Enjoyed for sure. I watched WWF from '89 - '92 or so, back when it was real, so It was a fun watch. We're watching Lost In Space now. Very good. A bit family-friendly, but good writing, and lots of WTF NOW action.... geez you guys. Fight for survival ffs, GAWL! I wish they'd add original COSMOS to supplement the new one....

I wish they'd add original COSMOS to supplement the new one.... I second this. Carl Sagan was a good dood. There's supposed to be a season 2 of the new series coming? I saw Neil DeGrasse Tyson give a talk once (maybe 3 years ago?) and even back then he was talking about season 2 coming out. Dunno whatever happened to this.

Finished Ozark season 2 yesterday, it was okay. Sometimes there's some interesting stuff going on but other times kinda seems like there's not enough going on to keep an episode interesting. I started to get pretty tired of the kids too. I think there will probably be a season 3 ... kinda hope they just wrap up the story and call it a show ... not sure how long they can keep the story line going.

They should’ve wrapped up the show in season 1. Don’t think I’m going to watch season 2. Binged Sharp Objects (HBO) yesterday. It’s a decent, slow burn. As would be expected by the directors of Big Little Lies, the production etc is excellent and so is the acting. The ending is decent if not slightly predictable. Parts of it make you shake your head. Onto Man in the high castle next. Although am curious about Maniac.

Just when I was starting to lose faith in teh netflix shows, they totally redeemed themselves with Maniac.
4 episodes in, and am totally loving it. The dark humor is excellent too! It's a slightly different kind of show (e.g. I'm less interested in how the show ends).

Finished Maniac over the weekend (and also quickly binged through Mr. Inbetween on FX - decent). I was going to write an AWOL-like dissertation of why Maniac is my favorite show on Netflix in the last year or two - but then realized that it'll probably be received with tl;dr. But yes, best Netflix show in the last 2-3 years.

Started watching "The hauting of hill house" (only 1 episode so far). The story seems to be good! ( the ending in that first episode gives u goosebumps! ) I’ve heard good things about this show, but the lady friend is not into horrors, so I’ll have to find time to watch this one alone (while hugging my couch cushions). Finished Daredevil season 3 in one sitting. Thank you Netflix for ditching the ‘red costume’ and going back to what made season 1 special. I ‘dare’ say that season 3 might even actually be slightly better than S1? The ending could’ve been better tho’. Looks like they’re going to introduce a new character next season (if approved). Started watching ‘WW2 in color’. I’ve seen 3 episodes so far and am enjoying it a lot. Looks like the Germans messed up Radar. Also, if you’re looking for a quick watch light comedy, Norsemen is pretty funny.

I also watched the Haunting of Hill House around Halloween time , it wasn't bad. I don't remember anything particularly scary about it ... I saw it described as sort of 'This is Us' with a little horror genre twist.

Daredevil cancelled by Netflix. No season 4.
Oh well.

Womp womp.
I think there is a season of The Punisher that already filmed and maybe Jessica Jones is done too or filming? Guess that will be the end of those too.
Kinda feels to me like Netflix over-extended itself a bit ... they did start putting out a bunch of original movies and talk shows and stuff ... I wish lots of the stuff I don't watch or have never heard of had been canceled instead, but on the plus side I'll have less TV shows to keep up with.
In the interest of not making a new post about it I'll also just throw it out there here that Preacher was renewed for another season.

The bartender at the local watering hole that I used to frequent, moved to LA a couple of years ago. He's been hinting on FB that he has finally landed a part on punisher. Well actually, he just posted that pic of teh punisher skull. We'll see. Hopefully he's not just a bartender in one scene or so (that'll be a let down to all those who've been prematurely congratulating him).
I've heard rumors that Netflix is dumping these shows since apparently Disney+ wants to pick them up? Altho' none of that makes sense to me.

Yeah I also saw the whole Disney thing in articles about the various cancellations but they always mention the PG13-ness or whatever of Disney and how the shows don't really fit in with that.
Doesn't really seem like a great plan to me, and if they were gonna do that I feel like they already dropped the ball PR-wise.

So... I dont really read this thread... but, as long as I dropped cable TV and started to watch netflix... I'm going to recommend some show you might have posted about (with just bits of ideas about them): Z Nation (for zombies lovers like me... better than the 'we are so screwed Walking Dead' kinda vibe... it's fanny actually); Somewhere Between (classic 'go back to past to make amends' kinda stuff... very well written); and, Travelers (in which im in... not like its an awesome idea, but has lots of action)... there... hope you guys enjoy em.

I have been going through Narcos, almost done with season 2. A good portion of it is en espanol if you're into that sorta thing, means a lotta subtitle reading por mi though.
I also watched season 1 of Narcos: Mexico not too long ago, it had a couple super violent scenes where I was like woah.

Finished Narcos season 2 yesterday, moving on to season 3 now.
Also a new season of A Series of Unfortunate Events came out today, I think it's the final season. Will probably take a break from the cocaine biz and watch that before I go back to Narcos.
