ping has nothing to do with bandwidth, as this proves lol.
Bandwidth isnt "speed". Nothing moves faster, just more of it moves at once. Our little ET packets still take just as long to get there on a 1Mb connection as they would on a 100MB connection.
You shouldn't ask "how fast" you should ask "how wide"...

Thread *resurrection*! Finally have bandwidth to equal the posers of this thread: Just moved back into uni halls... figured out this (and others previous in thread) is limited by 10/100 switch/hub hardware... who knows what madness could happen if gigabit stuff was used... hmmm... maybe I should find out

it's a 25mbit symmetric line, but verizon generously gives a few extra mb download speed. it's kind of ironic that i get fiber after my downloading days have been long over. i have no current use for the upload either lol, what would you do with it?
