Hey hey!
Tingly here, back again. Got a new PC and I have Windows 7 64-bit installed. ET runs, but I get a metric crapload of scanlines, enough to give me headaches and possibly a seizure. R3v was on and told me there was a fix at PB, but I was unable to find it. If anyone has an idea on how to sort this out, please let me know.

Well, nevermind.. hehehe. My computer is a beefy Gateway system, running the custom nVidia drivers. I downloaded nVidia's new drivers and changed settings using a program called Rivatuner. Everything works good now, except for splatterladder client. Whenever I try to connect to the server using splatterladder, it can't find my default.cfg file. Oh well, at least I can connect using IP address.

Still having some issues on my end. I can join QAW server for about 10 seconds, and then the game locks up. Going to try some different compatibility settings to see what I can come up with. And as always, any ideas?

I cant get it to run in Win7 to save my life. Different cards, drivers, etc. all fail differently.

Have you had any trouble on the Custom Server? I joined it earlier today and didn't crash once. I don't know if I was on long enough to reproduce whatever caused the issue, but it seemed to run smooth.

I just installed the Windows 7 for testing purposes. Unfortunately when I run ET I can't get a widescreen as it happens on Windows Vista, but just a squared screen. I use Geforce 8600GT. Some tips/advices/hints for me, please?
A hug!

Just autoexec your config in console like /exec ... then restart video like /vid_restart and all will be good beer just heed my warning it's a no go for evenbalance until windows 7 does the official release in October.

ok then go to your et program icon right click on it, hit properties, were you see run it should say maximized. that may help. then do /exec b2b.cfg you should see in the console that it has been loaded if not your not typing in the correct name of the config. To find your config go to your etmain and look for the name of the config. then type that into your console (/exec b2b.cfg) and proceed to /vid_restart. That should work. If not you f0oked.lol i should add that in windows 7 it's open file location to go to the etmain folder. good luck have fun btw you won't be able to play on server until pb gets off there asses and updates for windows 7 . Some time mid October.

Indeed! Found this out this evening after updating pb again..... I still maintain however that windows 7 blows.... random huge drops in fps which I probably wouldnt have noticed if I'd have come straight from vista (a small blessing from PB maybe?) but used linux in the interim.... smooth as silk, never a drop in frame rate..... apart from my lagtastic spasms obviously!

I've tried everything, but even doing right with the commands, the resolution doesn't change to wide screen. Already tried r_customweight / r_customwidth but nothing changes...

i have a new "screen" and change my config for widescreen, only add: ///Screen seta r_customwidth 1920 seta r_customheight 1080 seta r_mode -1 seta r_customaspect 2 but i read in a "google link" (lol) about fov, i need to change to 105/115 for widescreen or dont work widescreen: seta cg_fov 105 i think if you add this to your .cfg file then your widescreen work oops!, sorry for my english

I think it's glitch with windows 7 tbh you need to /vid_restart and /snd_restart every time you start up et and connect to server. for some reason et on windows 7 reverts to original settings (not wide screen :/) other than that i don't think i can help you out bro :/ !give b2b a beer and send on he's way ( heard it was Guinness) ;D

Fps drops are from other programs. I had some and realized evga precision was the culprit. I still back windows 7 as the winnar in the game of os atm. I have tried them all and find windows 7 to be the bombtastic.

I'm not having too many problems with ET and Vista but after installing the new Nvidia drivers for the 9200 GPU, I can't play COD2 or 4 any more. The graphics are waaayyyyy to friggen laggy. It sucks. I'm so pissed.
