I've not gone on the server yet but now I'm scared ;D Zoh - I'm wondering whether today's events (the mass kicks) might indicate server issues? Could it be that the server is not processing returned packets on time due to a lot of internal server PB processing and retry attempts? Would a server restart help? Also, is this a good weekend to try the experiment mentioned in the other thread?

OK guys - just saw this on the evenbalance server: ---------------------------------------------------------- Saturday 11.06.2010 [12:30PM] Version 1.777 of the PB Server for ET has been released to our PB Master Servers for auto-update and to our website download page. This version addresses a bug that was causing erroneous kicks for "Losing Key Packets" with code #9014. ----------------------------------------------------------- They've released a new version today that apparently fixed the Losing Key Packets issue. Hahahahahahaha!!! Hahahahahahahahaha!!!! Hahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!! This would indicate why the server has gone to 2 min kicks when Zoh set it to 0. The server has a new version of PB running that probably reset the kick time? Edit to add: Guys make sure you manually update your PB client now using the steps I provided in page 2 of this thread (I believe). Let us know if that still doesn't help. The client version should match the version running on the server (assuming the server auto-updated). Edit once again to add the steps: ---------------------------------------- 09/21/2010 11:17:59 - "Adam D" Note #2: Please delete the PB folder from the game installation, then run PBSetup and let it check for updates. Make sure you don't run PBSetup from inside the PB folder. ---------------------------------------- Here's a link to PBSetup: www.evenbalance.com/index.php?page=pbsetup.phpMake sure the version is 1.777.

IMO and as per the data in Solex's post, I believe there is a connection between the lag hiccups issue and the 9014s. Been playing for 90 mins. ZERO kicks. ZERO lag. ZERO lag hiccups. v57?? Is PB running on the server?

Prior to about 1230 PST I had been kicked about 5-6 times in about 1.5 hours. After the PB updated I played for about 4 hours without a single kick! As Porridge said, its been really smooth with only the occasional lag spike.

Well... I've personally not seen any 9014s on the server since the recent update and the server seems to be running fairly smoothly. I'm going to conclude that the one-offs are probably related to some sort of version mismatch?
So, I'm going to close my EB support ticket. Thanks to those who provided log data, info etc.
v57!!

Guys I hate to put a damper on things but just today I saw Corvus get kicked by something called "losing key packets 9003." We may not be out of the woods yet unfortunately.

9014 is also still present..........just not as frequently, but on rare occasions.

Guys I hate to put a damper on things but just today I saw Corvus get kicked by something called "losing key packets 9003." We may not be out of the woods yet unfortunately. I got kicked once (about a week ago) with a "Losing Key Packets 9005" error. However, my internet has been on the fritz for the last week and a half and I have been getting a lot of CRC errors and experiencing dropped packets whenever I am streaming data (youtube etc.). So I can't really blame PB for this one time kick. I have been keeping an eye out for PB kicks whenever I am on the server and honestly I have yet to see a 9014. I've got to imagine that the rare one-offs have to do with some version mismatch on that specific client (i.e. the PB version is probably not up to date on that client).
