Anybody out there listen to them? i just got given the album today, the one with "killing in the name of" on it aswell as "The Ga Ga S" and NOFX. I have a new found taste for metal and punk, this is gettin serious.

Been likin rage for the better part of a decade. However, I think the last album they released was horrible. Seems they gave up on that album before the breakup.

I always liked Rage, hated the singer and his uber-political BS, but liked the grooves.

Allow me to qualify my statement:
I first listened to Rage after about 5 straight years of all my favorite metal bands also doing the whole "political conscience" thing... this made pretty much any politically minded song seem like just more of the same to me...
I do agree that he wrote excellent lyrics. I'd say only 2 other songwriters are as skilled: Bad Religion, and Iron Maiden.

by far.
Despite that he saw blatant similarity, He strugged to find distinctive moiety, all he found was vulgar superficiality, but he focused it to sharpess, and shared it with the others, it signified his anger and his misery
Them and Us, lobbying determined through a mire of disbelievers Them and Us Dire perpetuation and incongruous insistence, that there really is a difference between them and US!
Hate is a simple manifestation, of the deep seated, self directed frustration all it does is promote fear and conternation its the inability, to justify the enemy, and it leaves us all in trepidation,
Them and Us, bending the significance to match a whimsied fable, Them and Us, Tumult for the angry and a pupose for the violence, a confused, loose allaince forming Them and US!
And I heard hm say: we cant take them all we cant take them all we cant take them all we cant take them all, But he didnt know who we were, and he didnt know who they were and there wasnt any reason, or motive, or value to this story, just allegory, imitation glory, and the desperate, feeble search for a friend.... GO!
Them and Us, lobbying determined through a mire of disbelievers Them and Us, dire perpetuaton and inconguous insistence, tumult for the angry and a purpose for the violence, a confused, loose alliance forming, them and US!
^ best lyrics EVAR.
