Just got a bunch of movies this evening that I will share below, but I thought I'd also see what other people might have lined up for their viewing pleasure.
On my end, I got all these, listed in no particular order:
Wind River (That Jeremy Renner one) The Meyerowitz Stories (I think its based on Adam Sandlers manager? and Dustin Hoffman is in it also) The Beguiled (something about Nicole Kidman, Elle Fanning, and Kirstin Dunst wanting to torture Collin Farrell I think?) Marjorie Prime (it's got Jon Hamm, I forget what it's about exactly) A Ghost Story (I think Casey Affleck is dead? and he goes around wearing a sheet like a ghost? ) 1922 (this was based on a Stephen King short story I think, might be a Netflix movie? Thomas Jane is the lead I think)
I also have The Dark Tower movie sitting around which was supposed to not be great (big fan of the books so I will probably watch it at some point just for fun ... I think they had originally planned all sorts of stuff for this franchise but maybe they will scrap it after the movie kinda flopped).
On the comedy front I have The Big Sick waiting to watch , I think that one got pretty good reviews.
A couple other ones I guess I'll mention that I still haven't gotten around to watching but maybe will get to all of them once my homebrew is finished ... The Lost City of Z (I think this has the Sons of Anarchy guy?) and Silence (Andrew Garfield is a monk or something)
Maybe you have some of the same lined up to watch? Or maybe you've never heard of any of these? Perhaps no one will reply at all?

I have the 1965's big premier "Alphaville" by Godard lining up... but as far as I don't really like movies... I think I'll watch it around jenuary.

Oh, I have quite a few. I think I'll just make a list, in no particular order.
Hitchcock films (I haven't seen a Hitchcock movie yet):
Vertigo and Psycho.
Westerns:
A Fistful of Dollars; For a Few Dollars More; and The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly; 3:10 to Yuma (newer version, though I'd watch the older one too); Shane; original True Grit
Crime/Thriller:
Insomnia; Nightcrawler; Gone Girl; Zodiac; The Departed; Gangs of New York; Silence of the Lambs; Pulp Fiction; Wind River
Kubrick films:
The Shining; Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb; A Clockwork Orange
Children/Animated:
Inside Out; Watership Down (discovered this one on accident, and it intrigued me)
Miscellaneous:
Fight Club; Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind; Gone With the Wind; Casablanca; Ben-Hur (original); The Last Temptation of Christ (1980's) Scorsese movie that just fascinates me, even as a Christian); Taxi Driver; Rocky (original); Saw (original); It (2017); Schindler's List; Jaws; Catch Me if You Can; Amistad; Shutter Island; Braveheart; Django Unchained; Her (movie where Joaquin Phoenix falls for an AI).
Ok, I need to stop there. There are several I need to get around to watching. But being in college, that time is limited.

I've watched every movie in AWOL's list except 3 (Saw, It & Watership down). Also, the title of the thread is misleading, tbh. These look like 'lists' to me.

All the movies I listed were queued up in my head to watch at some point.
I watched 1922 the other day , it wasn't bad. Pretty short movie (hour and a half maybe) ... I didn't think I'd read the short novel it was based on but after watching some of the movie I think I did read it at some point. It wasn't bad ... nothing too spectacular to say about it either way, just a quick little horror-ish film to watch.

Despite Scout's negative attitude this has been my most successful thread to date!
Did anyone happen to see Logan Lucky? I just got that one today, it seemed to have pretty okay reviews.
Lotta standouts in AWOLs list to watch ... I will mention though that in the animated category, Inside Out was pretty darn good. I remember really enjoying it when I saw it, great Pixar film for all age groups to enjoy.

I watched Logan Lucky the other day , it wasn't bad! I think it was pretty accurately reviewed as a sort of NASCAR meets Oceans 11 - ish vibe. Pretty entertained overall.

Thought I posted about this last week ... Hoff must have put on some King Crimson and went on another deleting spree ...
Anyways, I watched The Lobster last weekend. It was a strange movie with Colin Farrell and others. Kind of a weird movie about people single people being sent to this resort type area, where they have like 45 days to find a match or they are turned into an animal. It ended up being a pretty interesting film, like something you'd watch in a film class but actually enjoy. Can't remember exactly when it came out or how widespread its release was, but if you see it around on demand or something I think it's definitely worth a watch!
Also recently added The Killing of a Sacred Deer and Dunkirk to my list of ones to watch, those both seem to be reviewed pretty well.
I did watch the LEGO Ninjago movie also the other day, it wasn't bad, but kind of the weakest of the LEGO movies so far for me, maybe because the Ninjago brand doesn't really resonate as much as the other LEGO movies.

Finally got a hold of a Blu Ray copy of IT today! Really looking forward to watching it, and since its break-time for most TV shows I'll probably get around to it pretty soon.

IT was pretty good ... I thought it was impressive that the group of kids could put out a compelling performance in a movie meant to be watched by adults. Some other stuff I watched recently: Blade Runner 2049 - Not bad ... too long, nothing particularly special about it in my eyes, just wanted to check it off the list as 'watched' really. Gerald's Game - Think this may have been a Netflix movie, based off a Stephen King short story. It wasn't bad , seemed like a good adaptation of the story. A Ghost Story - Pretty interesting film here ... definitely a more 'artsy' film with its style (one thing I didn't really care for was that it was framed in a sort of square, projector-ish window, with the rounded corners. I kept thinking while watching it that I would much prefer this movie to just properly fill out the screen ). Overall I was left pretty pleased with what I'd watched though ... would recommend checking it out if you get the chance!

Watched Hitman's Bodyguard. Popcorn movie that was better than I expected. Enough story and comedy to go with the action that kept it entertaining until the end.

Looking forward to watching The Disaster Artist this weekend, that movie based on the making of The Room.

The Disaster Artist was a fun watch. Pretty interesting story, definitely shaped as a comedy overall but kind of a touching story in a way about this strange guy and his desire to make a movie.
This weekend I'm planning on watching a strong Oscar contender for best picture, The Shape of Water.
Also just added to the queue The Death of Stalin, which I believe is a sort of comedy about people wanting to take charge after Stalin dies. Has a pretty solid cast (Steve Buscemi!!) and a surprisingly high 97% on RT.

Did anybody see Black Panther? Think I might watch it this weekend, seems like its supposed to be a pretty good superhero movie from the reviews. I watched it last weekend. The sets and special effects, as you can imagine, were spectacular. But, for some odd reason, it didn't do it for me. It felt slow paced and parts of it felt a little dragged out and boring tbh. Just like I mentioned in the Jessica Jones 2 thread, for me these comic book super heroes movies really need a strong villain character. In black panther, the villain really didn't seem so bad, and at times you felt sorry for him, and understood the reasons for him being an antagonist. Anyway, you should prolly watch it anyway, just since parts of the storyline set up for Infinity War. But, I don't get the hype.

I had a good time with it, I can see why it was such a big hit since it was a pretty fun movie all around. I guess the villain was sorta weak looking back on it, maybe they really just needed to establish the black panther character and world before throwing some other more interesting villain in there? I know I didn't have any idea what black panther was about going into the movie unlike other super heroes everybody kinda already knows the general story of. No doubt BP2 will make a gazillion dollars.

Just watched A Quiet Place, the one with Emily Blunt and John Krasinski and a couple other people (there is I think 7 people total in the movie?) ... it was pretty good! Definitely an interesting concept turned into a well made film.

Definitely an interesting concept turned into a well made film. Oh my god the ending to that movie pissed me off so incredibly much. Beyond that, it was a fun concept. YOU MEAN ALL THEY HAD TO DO THIS WHOLE TIME WAS SHOOT IT IN THE f*ckING FACE? SERIOUSLY? ALMOST THE WHOLE WORLD WAS KILLED BY AN ALIEN THAT JUST NEEDED TO BE SHOT IN THE FACE?!?!?!?!

Watched "Hunt for the Wilderpeople" tonight ... written and directed by Taika Waititi (he did the latest Thor movie most recently which was awesome). Was a delightful film , really enjoyed it. Sam Neil and Julian Dennison (you'd recognize him from Deadpool 2) are the leads.
I also watched a few weeks ago what I think is his other biggest movie so far, What We Do in the Shadows. It's about a bunch of vampires who live together, was pretty funny. If you watch Legion or Flight of the Conchords, Jemaine Clement plays one of the vampires.
Anyways this dude seems to be killing it as a film maker. His next movie Jojo Rabbit certainly seems like it will be interesting, here's the synopsis:
"Jojo Rabbit is a young boy living during World War II. His only escapism is through his imaginary friend, an ethnically inaccurate version of Adolf Hitler, who pushes the young boy's naive patriotic beliefs. However, this all changes when a young girl challenges those views and causes Jojo to face his own issues. "

I watched both of The Incredibles movies recently, they were really good! Thoroughly entertained by both of them.
Mentioned the other day on the server about this movie Mandy starring Nic Cage ... I dunno if it's the movie or my copy of it but the audio was kinda too low for me to properly hear the dialogue, so it's in my queue so to speak but I haven't been able to watch it in full yet ... I saw it on some "Best of 2018" lists though.
Recently watched "Bad Times at the El Royale" ... it wasn't bad, Chris Hemsworth had a pretty funny role.
In my queue I have a couple things right now ... First Reformed (Ethan Hawke is a priest?), First Man (Armstrong > moon), Searching (John Cho I think? I forget the plot)

Glad you liked The Incredibles films. I love the first one and thought the second was pretty good too.
I recently watched Children of Men. Really good, dark, dystopian film. There were also 2 really impressive long takes that I loved. The first was around 4 minutes, and the second was 6 and a half minutes. Alfonso Cuaron was definitely showing off but it was awesome.
Also watched the classic The Third Man with Orson Welles. Liked it quite a bit and it has one of the coolest character reveals ever.
As for my queue I have:
The Shining. Currently on Netflix and I’ve been meaning to see it. Need to give anything with Kubrick’s name a chance.
Unbreakable and Split. Need to see them before Glass.
A Quiet Place

Forgot I also have that Robert Redford movie The Old man and the Gun to watch ... maybe tonight?
Unbreakable and Split are both pretty enjoyable ... I'm surprised you don't know the plot of Unbreakable already though it's been out for awhile :-P
I liked A Quiet Place too ... I saw that a sequel is in the works.
Saw Children of Men years ago, remember it being pretty good. Simpler times then though watching on a 19" TV ... maybe I'll watch it again some time.
