Binged through the first season over the weekend.
I thought it was excellent.
The premise is set up as life in the US after it supposedly lost WWII, and now is split up into 3 parts, the German/Nazi eastern part, the Japanese Pacific states, and the neutral zone in the middle.
The sets, ambiance, etc. to capture the essence of a Nazi-occupied USA is an absolute visual feast. This alone might be a good reason to watch this show - since I was sucked into the tension of the show. Makes you realize that you really cannot take freedom for granted.
Fair warning tho' - there are major complaints on IMDB of this show being somewhat slow-paced. I agree with that assessment - but I like a slow burn at times. In fact, the reviews on IMDB vary between people who LOVE it and have a rated it 10/10 or they hate it and give it 1/10 etc. Not a whole lot of mid level ratings.
Anyway, looking forward to season 2.

Been awhile since I watched, but I remember really enjoying season 1, and season 2 was okay but seem to recall not enjoying it as much just due to the direction the story goes. I know a third season is due sometime this year so I may end up re-watching the first two seasons at some point.

I feel like a man on a silver mountain, actually. I used to sing this song as part of our regular set, with zee college band. Claim to fame was not getting any rotten tomatoes thrown at us by the audience (at least we think). (now-a-days i'll dabble at a pathetic attempt to sing this song at a random karaoke bar, just to ruin everyone's nite there) Sorry, Blackmore and Dio.

Finished S2 last night. Season 3 should be coming out soon. Enjoyed season 2 as well, altho' parts of it got a little like the show, Lost. There was a little more explanation in season 2, re. season 1's events etc. But there's a greater theme out there that prolly won't be explained until the final season or so (who knows how many seasons they'll milk this into). (they could always choose to end every show with stating that the whole thing was a dream - keeps things easier on writers etc.)

This is based on a Philip K. Dick Novel isn't it? I wonder if they used this as the basis for the new Wolfenstein games (New Order and New Colossus)
