Yes I know! Dog nails are a such a pain to trim ... next week she's going to get the dremel with sandpaper attachment though to grind those down some!

Yessss ... I have two turtles, they live in 20 gallons of water though, don't really let them roam the street.
Is that a red bellied cooter? I have a yellow bellied slider and a red eared slider.

This dude is a painted turtle, common to the ponds around here. He actually lived in the wild at one time, hence my habit of letting him roam the outdoors as frequently as possible, weather permitting. He's also actually a she but he's very sensitive about that so don't bring it up around him.
20 gallons of water! Those lucky guys. I'm about to upgrade to a 55 gallon tank for this dude soon so he can have some more room to exercise indoors too.

Nice! The painted turtle pictures do look a lot more like yours than the cooter one, I dunno why they didn't show up in my google search :-P. I do all my tank upgrading when Petco / Petsmart runs a $1/gallon sale on tanks ... really cuts down on the cost of the bigger tanks. I got lucky last year when my turtle tank started leaking and I had to replace it immediately ... thought I was gonna be screwed but got to the store and the $1/gallon sale was going on! I think it comes down to 40-50% off regular price. Honestly that much water is a huge pain though ... I have a nice filter hooked up but still have to change the water and clean the filter and stuff which is messy and time consuming. Nice to let the turtles swim though I guess!

That's a sweet setup! I'll have to keep an eye out for those sales... I'm going to need a much better filter once I upgrade to the 55 gal.

I wish I could have them in an even bigger tank but then I'd need a new stand too which already takes up a lot of room. At some point its like i might as well just flood my spare room and let them live in there.

Built some more furniture the past couple of months. Steel end table, specially engineered for unhindered dog mobility. Only weighs 50 pounds! Heavy duty structurally reinforced firewood rack, engineered to be able to withstand a few days worth of wood, or a magnitude 7 earthquake. Weighs about 120 lbs.
