If you are here to contest any admin action:
Be polite, state your case, provide what proof you may have. Any flames, disrespect, or profanity in your post and it will be deleted. If you follow these simple rules, your case will be investigated and a fair decision will be made.
If you are here to report abuse by players such as SK, hax, etc:
Provide a demo. to record demos, open the console with ~, then type /record <demoname>. PLEASE name the demo using the following format:
playername_violation_MMDDYY - for example, if ETplayer is SKing today:
/record etplayer_sk_51106
To stop recording the demo, simply do /stoprecord
Upload your demo to a public DL server such as www.yourfilelink.com. or www.putfile.com, and post a link with your complaint. Demo files on your computer are in C:\Program Files\Wolfenstein - Enemy Territory\etpub\demos by default.
Added 5-11-06, submitted by Zero The Hero - how to upload on Yourfilelink:
1. Enter on www.yourfilelink.com.
2. Click on "file..."
3. Select the demo, it will probably be on C:Program files/Wolfenstein - Enemy Territory/etpub/demos. It will have it's date an hour on the name, choose the one you want.
4. Click on "Open"
5. Click on "Yes, I agree to the terms of use.".
6. After reading the Terms of use (if you want), click on "Upload file"
7. Now wait until the uploading finishes.
8. After it's done, copy (Ctrl+C for windows users) the link that appear in the box, go to "Administrative Actions" on QAW forum, and paste (Ctrl+V for windows users), click on "New thread" (superior right) and paste it on the text box, add a subject and some text if you want and click on "Post Message". Done .
If you want to view posted demos, DL them the same path as above, note that you may not have a "demos" folder inside the etpub folder... if so, create it manually.
Sart ET, go to Mods, and load ETpub. Now go to Replays, select the demo, and hit view. For wallhack demos, open the console and do /r_shownormals 1
If you are here for any other reason:
Reconsider. There is probably no reason to be here if neither of the first two criteria have been met. Threads contesting admin action should be answered only by the admin whos action is in question, witnesses to the events, and Officers of the clan. Threads reporting player abuse should only be answered by the topic creator, the accused if he/she feels like posting, witnesses, and clan Officers.
Topics about the server, even those that deal largely with the admin side such as the "Uptick in SK" topic, really belong more in Server General.
Following these guidelines should help prevent flamewars, and allow issues to be resolved quickly and without further incedent. Topics will be deleted once the issue has been resolved.
