yep Tron, the HDMI input. And if $$ were no object, ya, it would have been LCD.
I went searching for something 'leftover/discntinued/last year' sorta thing (the best time to buy electronics is Feb. It's Electronics year-end/new models sorta thing, like Sept. is for Autos.
And I knew if I could find CRT it would be even cheaper. Researched much, and this was the best bang-for-buk I found.
gads, the DVI-to-HDI cable alone was about 16% of the price of the TV. ($150 Monster Cable)
but wow, this certainly pales in comparison to the 50" Pro.Scan you have there !!
Man, dasa beeeg teeeveee

well, after few marathon-sessions of tweaking/playing with/watching the 34", ready for a few thoughts on it.. Playing ET on it: The difference between a bodyshot (TV) and headshot (Monitor). Great for Spec tho. (more tweaking to be attempted here fersher) 3 mice now on computer:(Spagetti Noodle Monster), soas to have mice-lying-around so I can grab one anywhere to control things. I've had to shake-myself-outta-it watching some WinAMP visualizations on it, hehe.. All the old episodes and movies look new again. Watched StarWarsIII (1st time) last night. Dishwasher kicked in during, I watched about 45mins of it withough being able to hear it, and it didn't bother me at all, hehe..the pic is such a treat. very happy with, an awesome TV/Monitor for the price.

yea, the cable was pricey, but fell under Fast/Cheap/Good. I was 'caught by surprise' that I needed it (was going to feed with S-Vid). So I gave up Cheap for Fast and Good.
Remember, the CAD and USD exchange, plus it's about 2 1/2 hr trip (one way) to return the cable.
And given I've barely been able to take my eyes off it, I don't think it matters at this point, hehe...
As soon as I can tear myself away from the big screen, I'll be back on ET, until then;
The Massive Major Monster Movie Marathon continues, hehe
