I still ping 2000+ servers from Phoenix Arizona. I'm also pretty sure there are still dozens of UK servers up and running too.
How much will you be paying? It's worth it....

I was just about to post: Buy the game new for 17 bucks new, it's well worth the price and you don't have to worry about some jackel already having your CD Key.
BF2 servers are going to be very active until the release of ET:QW (6 more months?? who knows....) and there should still be plenty for a few more years as well.
You'll need to download and install the BF2 1.41 patch after you get the game installed. It's about .5 gig DL so you might want to get started now...lol

aha but tomb, that is where my 8GB broadband comes in handy, im sure i can download .5 gig in about 2 hours with ease. $17 is a bit less that i paid but probably makes up for the shipping costs tbh. I feel very chuffed with myself, thank you.

crap man.....what are you lacking hardware wise? If you're never going to be able to make use of the BF2 Cd-Key you might be able to sell it to Dumptruck to recoup some cash. fyi...my pc barely runs BF2...i get a steady 20-25 fps with all settings on the lowest but the damn game is FUN!

i dunno, it installed veryslowly maybe my dvd drive isnt fast enough, it doesnt seem to read the disk particularly well. it recommends 1gig ram and i only have 768. So ill narrow it down to dvd drive, RAM or gfx card as that also doesnt meet the specs.
lol id love to give him it but will wait til my parents come home ina few days and may be able to install it on my dads pc.

I have my friends secondary PC at my place and it will run BF2 with .7xx gig of ram. The vid card is a GeForce5500. It's just a bit chopier than my comp, but still playable.
If your video card does not have at least 128mb of ram then you will not be able to start and run the game.

Is a GeForce4 MX 440 likely to have 128mb of RAM?

Is a GeForce4 MX 440 likely to have 128mb of RAM? I just googled it....64mb of ram you're out of luck. You should be able to buy a new card for much less than $100 that will get you running, but don't ask me for Gfx card advice because I have none.
