I was reading an article in my cousins Game Informer magazine I think it was, and there was about 4 pages of Guitar Hero IV stuff. It isn't set to release for awhile, but forget Rock Band. Yes, Rock Band is AMAZING...But the drums do mess up sometimes, there is a lack of reality in them to. The new drums for GH IV will have one more thing to hit. They are also pressure sensitive and wireless...which will make the game better because setting them up won't take so long for us lazy people, and the pressure sensitive will make it more realistic to the amount of sound your drums create in the game. This is the only image I could find of them, and they were in the Game Informer I read. So this seems to be the only public image of them... While the drums alone will make it better than Rock Band...the fact you can create song will to. Yes, you can put your own songs into the game. You can't put full songs on the game that you just have uploaded to your console, you have to make the songs yourself. This doesn't mean you can't put full real songs on the game...you just have to spend a hell of a lot of time doing it note by note. You can also add your own vocals. Although it hasn't been confirmed really, a lot of people are saying that this game WILL be cheaper than Rock Band...Which will be great considering how much it cost.

I honestly don't see how it will be cheaper...
It looks really cool and I am looking forward to trying it out.....I heard it's gonna be released in fall of this year, but games do get pushed back a lot so we'll just have to wait and see. I just hope they start selling these separately because I already have a guitar for it and my collection is starting to expand.

Although it hasn't been confirmed really, a lot of people are saying that this game WILL be cheaper than Rock Band...Which will be great considering how much it cost. You force me to crack my knuckles and lay down some information in expert-pwnage style. Quite honestly, you can't start comparing this drumset to the rockband drumset as you haven't played on this drumset so you don't know how responsive it is, how well the sticks bounce off the pads, etc. I'll admit, the rock band drumset sucks a LOT of crap. However, with something as simple as Socks or Mousepads, or even $20 Drum Silencers, the drums become almost 100% more responsive. As in the lack of reality to them, they mess up in the department that they are very poorly made, but quite honestly the rock band drums (and most likely these as well) do help develop some skills in drumming that could be carried over to actual drumming. "there is one more thing to hit" is irrelevant, i could make a guitar hero-esque game with 6 frets, or 7 if i was feeling crazy, not sure it kinda matters But now that you mention that the drumset is wireless...I worry. All the rythm games to date have major lag and calibration issues with HDTVs, hell even just regular old TVs. Add the wireless lag to the mix...and you've got yourself some trouble. On a side-note, it seems you have some of the most random dislike for Rock Band, and I can see why some people don't enjoy the game because they're not nito that genre, but it sounds like you're excited for GHIV so that doesn't make much sense Explain to the class why you don't like Rock Band, due yesterday.
