I just got myself a used gamecube for 16.50 including shipping. At these prices everyone should get one!!!! I got 4 new nintendo replica contollers for $8 each and used games range from $5-$25. Everything I just said is including shipping to the U.S. This is sooooooooooooooo worth it, especially if you're on a tight gaming budget. I'm mostly getting it for the multiplayer experience and gamecube has the best multiplayer games around! I don't care about graphics, the games are awesome. Anyways, thought I'd spread the word, anyone else as excited as I am or does no one care?

ill agree with you about the games being fun, but picking up a used gamecube at gamestop is only a little bit more. they are selling them at $30 and they give you the convenience of being close if something goes wrong with it. its much less of a hassle to exchange it. but yes i have to say even though the graphics arent tahat great, gameplay more than makes up for it.

Yeah, that's not bad. Might be worth it for the guarantee. Gamestop usually has pretty good prices on used equipment. I use ebay a lot though, and have never experienced a problem if I buy from sellers with good feedback. Xboxes cost 60 bucks at gamestop and ps2s cost 80. At these prices gamecube is definately the better deal for most people looking into an older console. I mean the reason one might want a ps2 or xbox over a gamecube in the past is because of the better graphics. But now all the graphics are outdated anyways so I think the difference is less important. Sure there are some xbox and ps2 only games but I think those games games aren't that unique. For example, there's halo, but there are also plenty of similar enough first person shooter games for gamecube. Gamecube is the only that generation console with really unique games. There's nothing close to smash bros on any other system for example. Oh, I forgot there is online play for xbox and ps2 and that might be the deal-breaker for many. That wasn't that important to me cause when I want to really compete seriously online I play ET, but I can easilly see how that can be important to others.

nah, getting a wii aint worth it for me. for the $250 at least I would just have to spend on the console (and I mean used, because of stocking issues) 1 controller and 1 game, I can get a gamecube ($15), 4 controllers($8 each), and around 15 good games ($14 each)! And I mean good games like smash brothers, mario kart (those go for more like $20, but you can some other great games for like $6) Think about that! Honestly I think it would be more worth it for a lot of people buying wiis to just get a gamecube. You can always upgrade later and your controllers and games will still work. Looking on ebay a bunch of wii games are for $30. so I'd say you can get 2 1/2 gamecube games per wii game. And how much does a wii remote and nunchcuck cost? $50. All the prices I've listed above are good used prices on ebay that I've researched.

Super Nintendo blows Gamecube out of the water, so in the scheme of things the Wii wins in mah book. You might be getting a lot "more" for your buck, but there aren't that many Gamecube games that have significant replay value while the Wii has a rich supply of games that do, and you don't even need to go to the store to get a lot of them. But if you're going to limit yourself to simply spending as much as it would cost to just get a Wii, then buying a Gamecube could have its perks. However, Gamecube Smash < Wii Smash. After playing Brawl, I don't want to go back to Melee where mah main man Kirby is nerfed to hell.

the ony problem with the wii is that you have to find one. the only way you can guarantee one right now is to get one off of ebay, where people are charging a heck of a lot more than the 250 that they cost.
