(wireless modem??? ya sure your not talking wireless network card?,..(both exist).)
you need to go to the router manufacturer website, download owners manual. It will give you an IP address and default ID and password to access the router's SETUP/ADMINISTRATION page.
(exceptions to every rule, some routers require proprietary software to access router configs, some are done with buttons on the router itself, above mentioned is most common).
ie. usually IP is 192.168.0.1 or similar. You open a web-browser, type this addy in the ADDRESS and hit ENTER or GO button.
This will display router's configs. Go to wireless section and disable the wireless.
this will all be explained in the owner's manual for router.
TIP: also access your Network Card's configs, turn off the wireless on it, and go into Windows Services, and turn off/disable Wireless Config.
That would shut off all the wireless 'stuff'
