Is anyone here a board game geek (BGG)? My geekiness is revealed here: www.boardgamegeek.com/collection/user/Porridge?own=1&subtype=boardgame&ff=1I guess I'm not as geeky as compared to some of the other uber geeks on that site. Anyway, if you're not a current BGG - you should consider becoming one. Just one more addiction to fuel your life. The euro games are excellent - esp. Settlers of Catan - Cities and Knights, Puerto Rico and Power Grid. Buy one of these games, get some beers, con a few friends to join you to play it at your home and then hate each other after around 3-4 hours. Also, make sure you accuse the person who is winning of cheating. There used to be an online server where you could play Settlers - but the admin got pissed off with life and shut that site down (actually he's not accepting any new members). Would've been nice to have a QAW online board game night showdown!!

We had a Settlers of Catan board game night the other night at a buddy's place. Took me 20-25 mins to explain the rules. They were like: So I was like: And then they were like: So I went: And eventually they were totally like: with a combination of Eventually we all had a good time - other than this dude from Boston who made me wish I had my akimbo pliers handy.

LOL playing with any expansion pack delios? Cities and Knights However, if the group has never played basic Settlers, C&K will take a thesis dissertation of some sort to explain the rules. And midway through the 4 hour ordeal, a strong feeling of antipathy emanates amongst the fellow conquerors of the island.

www.hotflashgames.com/darktower.htmBest board game...eva! My friend had this when we were in High School. Needless to say we spent several afternoons ditching class and playing this game! I wish I had a rl version of it. Reading the rules on the web site this is what I found: ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- SCOUT - A scout is a man hired at the bazaar to remain with you permanently throughout the rest of the game. When you have a scout among your party, you will never be lost. Getting lost will cause you to not be able to move and your turn will be over. With a scout you will not only move, but receive a free second turn. Note that you do consume food on the second turn. A scout is most useful in a multiplayer game (which is not yet supported by this Flash version), but can be useful in a single player game to help you achieve a higher end- of- game score by allowing you to complete the game in fewer turns (a factor in scoring.) The scout cannot be killed.---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- OMG Hax!!

Which hax are you using scout? haha I'm using the mouse sens 1.15 hax, combined with the maxfps_76 hax. PB has never kicked me and it's totally undetectable by other players.

Off the top of my head, I visited all neighboring lands, crossed all frontiers, fought the brigands, stole their gold, hired a healer, got the plague, increased my army, bought rations at the market, got lost, used pegasus, found the dragon sword, got the gold, silver & brass keys, unlocked the dark tower, fought the tower brigands, slayed the dragon, finished the game = 7 points The points might be a function of how soon you can get to the dark tower and kill the dragon/demon? For which we might need that fella I mentioned earlier .... y'know the haxor... just so that we don't lose turns getting lost ;D
