Plain text file with game variable settings (commonly called "cvars")
format is:
Set cvar-name "value"
for example, if you want to set your FPS to 76:
set com_maxfps "76"
If you want to set your field of view to 100:
set cg_fov "100"
and so on.
The file itself is just plain text (edit it in Notepad) and should be called "autoexec.cfg" and placed in the ETMain folder
Theres a whole lot you can do with a config. I could be here all day explaining it lol. Probably easier of you say what you are trying to accomplish...

Hmmm like Zohar said its hard to tell you anything without knowing what you want. Mouse settings like sens depend entirely on the player. Some like high sens so they can snap in close fights others like low cause its good for long fights I personally like a medium ish sense XD haha. Pitch, bob, and yawn can be set but I forget what I set mine to haha XD I'd recommend checking out the other config convo. Lots of good info there

Try looking in your ET Main Folder > Profiles > "Your Name" > and Open the "etconfig.cmd" file by right clicking on file and "open with" notepad. THis is the script or config the game is running.
- Do not Modify this one! - Save file as - myconfig.txt on your desktop. - Now open it with notepad and you can insert your cursor at end of code [][][] and hit enter and space out so you can read! - Here you will find all default setting etc. for the game and you can modify anyway you'd like! - Once you have tweaked, save as "myconfig.cfg" (WITH " marks) and move into your etmain folder. - Now make a "autoexec.cfg" and add a line of code: exec myconfig.cfg and can add other tweaks here in the autoexec.cfg like /name ^7Do^hc etc.
Cheers!
