Is there one?
I haven't noticed that my fps go down or ping go up while I am recording but that doesn't mean that things are running at the same speed as when not recording.
I am hoping someone has some insight into this.
thx

As far as I know, if you use et's in game demoing capabilities it is a very small, unnoticeable performance hit, if you use xfire demos it will create alotta lag. lol moral of the story use autoaction 1 and you won't have any problems

If you record demo there is little performance movement. Xfire makes "lags" because it takes screenshots, then later it compresses it to .avi codec. Fraps is just pointless,in quality point. Just use /cl_avidemo "50". Which record 50 screenshots in second. It will be very very laggy:) Take a look at this picture what I made in March: genert.impact.pri.ee/jimages/hideandseek.jpgI used ETpro,IMAGE-ET,AAx16 and AFx8 and Photoshop for text. This shows what picture quality ET can give with good config ofc:)
