Credit goes to JoeNoob, whom no one remembers. Not nearly as gross as it initially sounds: Get a turkey roasting pan fill it with BBQ sauce, steak sauce, liquid smoke, worchestershire, ketchup, whatever you haven that isnt mayo or mustard. Put it on the grill to heat up. Put FROZEN burgers into the pan for about 10 minutes. Take em out and sear on teh grill to taste add cheese ? Profit.

Ya it does sound gross to me lol. Is it better than regular burgers on a BBQ?

Is this part of the Colorado cook-out you were talking about? The folks in Texas might have something to say about this Sounds to me like it would be good so long as you didn't get too much liquid smoke or hot sauce or whatever etc etc.....too much ketchup can be gross too for example. Thumbs up for ease, but I think one needs to be somewhat mindful of what goes in the turkey roasting pan. I cook my burgers on a cast-iron skillet that I drop on top of the grill on the bbq. Works awesome to keep them moist by cooking them their own juices and is esp good if you have patties that are falling apart (not enough binder). (burp)

It is actually very forgiving as long as you dont let any one sauce dominate too much. Liquid smoke should always be used with caution IMO, sot hat goes without saying. I guess in general the idea is a base of whatever BBQ sauce (We like Sweet Baby Rays) and then add other crap till you have enough to submerge the burgers.... plus it part of the fun to get tasty burgers with different character each time We've only ended up with questionable flavors once, and that's cause I went overboard with the worchestershire... @mg - they are very tasty
