I am looking for a powerfull mini-itx for next to my hd-tv. I need power because I love downloading, decoding and gaming (et) (I know I was not doing that last months) I was thinking about:
Aplus Cupid 3
1x Kingston KTA-MB1066K2/8G
1x AMD Athlon II X4 635
1x Asus M4A88T-I Deluxe
1x Asus EAH5670/DI/1GD5
Who had mini-itx experience?
Greetings Corymbe

I know I have been historical long away but that doenst mean you have to propose ancient hardware ;D ...that thing can really handle windows 7? In my ancient past I was however a amiga fan. Still dreaming of my lotus and nitro games. Oh, and lost patrol..so cool...and lemmings....mmm But no commodore, I dont need a keyboard function on my pc. I just need a small powerfull mini pc.

Good hardware choices. I would suggest:
G.Skill RAM to save some cash, and in the last 6-7 years that I have uised it, I have never had a single bad stick. Cant say the same for any of the big names - Kingston, Crucial, Mushkin, Corsair, etc.
Get dimensions on the vid card, cause its a TIGHT fit in an ITX case to begin with, even without a dedicated video card.
On that note., the integrated chipset will handle ET fine, and will do multimedia fine. It wont play anything much newer than ET very well though.
The PSU is only 200W, with 13 amps on the 12v rail... the video card and CPU will draw a lot of that, so you might consider a lower wattage CPU, which of course will compromise performance. (I am pretty sure the 635 is a 95W CPU, so thats almost half the total power available)
If it were me, I would build a full or mini ATX in an A/V style horizontal case rather than mITX... then you dont have to worry about power or dimensions.
