Wow, call me impressed but this game looks fantastic. www.elderscrolls.com/Gameplay footage from press demo: www.youtube.com/watch?v=ic6dKnv3WdUThe dragons remind of the same kind in Reign of Fire. I've fired up Oblivion again just to get back into this setting. Need to upgrade my PC though...hopefully by the time it comes out I'll have enough for the game and some upgrade. Release date: 11/11/11

This game looks absolutely magnificent. The sheer scale of everything just blows my mind. I've never played an Elder Scrolls game unfortunately but I love the recent Fallout games and all the footage of this game that I've seen just continues to blow my mind. The way the map is rendered is insane and just everything about it seems very streamlined and looks like it will make things so much easier to swap out spells to weapons to look thru items etc. Honestly looks to be one of if not the best RPGs in recent history and I can't wait.

I've played through fallout 3 and fo new vegas (from the same makers of elder scrolls) > loads of gameplay hours put into both. Skyrim should be even better than those combined. Going to be buying a new projector bulb just to get it running again for Skyrim recently acquired a 12x10ish foot screen to go with it... will be enjoying full wall gaming this winter

I'd love to play like that with my PC. I do have an xbox360 but I prefer PC over xbox360.

It's an espon EX50 I used to run it on both my 360 and my laptop, though I have a desktop now so I'll be running it just on my 360, I connect it via the hd cables on the 360 and use a seperate speaker set. I've had a 5x5ish ft screen for a while; though recently a friend, who also has a projector, broke the electronic/retractable massive screen he had and bought a replacement. Gave it to me in exchange for some paintings I did (I'm an artist sometimes lol), basically I got a 800$ screen for nothing >. Planning on getting my projector working again (bulb overheated/died out, replacement i bought showed up broken) by the end of this next month, then getting Skyrim and possibly Gears of war 3 to get some new co op action going... Might be selling my tablet for pc and one of my firearms also cleaning/restoring my bosses firearm collection to get some extra $. Might also be getting mw3 on computer... Electronics may be too large a part of my life...

so i was lost in skyrim for a good 2 months - great game
i love exploring, i like building a character rather than being restricted to a 'class', i like the occasion random encounters. and so much more.
i recently tried Gothic 3 and just want to let everyone know, if u like the elder scrolls series, u have to try this series.
it does have it's faults, but it wasn't made with the huge budget skyrim was. also the combat isn't great at first, but once i got used to it, it's kinda more intense than skyrim (for instance, it's easier to die, and skyrim felt too easy) i started playing it a couple weeks ago and havn't stopped
there is a gothic 4 (arcanium or something) that's probably as good also, there is 'risen' which is the same kind of game
jsut something to keep in mind if ur thinking of trying something after skyrim

Yes, I agree the Gothic series is also very good...am definately a fan of those as well. You should try Gothic 2 and Risen if you liked Skyrim...note the controls are different and take a little getting used to.

Here's an excerpt - as I said, funny and entertaining:
"There’s a spring in my step as I prepare to make my way to back to Riften to get married, because my future, once uncertain, now holds many treasures. A home to live in. The love of a wife whose name, I’m pretty sure, begins with a Y. The realization that I no longer have to interview NPCs and help them solve their problems. Best of all, I feel like I’ve cheated Skyrim, a world intent on throwing adventure in my path, by getting engaged without any bloodshed.
Marriage in Skyrim begins with deeds, the priest told me, and deeds in Skyrim generally involve killing people. Not murdering them, necessarily, but fighting them, scores of them, while completing a favor for your intended life-partner. My engagement, however, came about by simply buying a mammoth tusk and handing it to a woman. Take that, Game Filled With Adventure! I got a bride with zero casualties! Unless you count the mammoth, which I didn’t even kill. And, it’s not like I’m going to kill a lot of people on my way back to Riften, right?
The first person I kill on my way back to Riften is a bandit woman. Jasper and I are taking the route south of the tallest mountain in Skyrim. We made it to Riverwood last night without incident, spent the evening ignoring the locals and their troubles, and continued on this morning. This is new ground for us, so naturally, when I spot a mine on my radar, I walk over to check it out, and this bandit woman charges at me with a mace."

I read some of those and they are entertaining. Now to wait on Dawnguard to get released for PC.
