i finally listened to all those above - great stuff. i love seasick steve on stage and dub fx. in Santa Monica, california, near the beach is a 3-4 block outdoor mall called '3rd street pormenade' many performers set up and do their thing (as many as every 30 feet or so for 3 blocks on friday night and saturdays) there's mimes, a little monkey that tips his hat and takes tips, i guy that spins plates and poors tea off his head, etc but the real stars are the singer/songwriters: seis cuerdas - these guys are incredible in the speed and synchronized guitar work (i have one of their cd's) they have one professionally done video: this girl is an ex-brit, i believe. so glad she calls Los Angeles home now. incredible voice and beautiful. (i have one of her cd's) my girlfriend loves this guy. it would make me jealous, but i think he's gay, so no worries

wow, guys, such great stuff you've posted. Seasick Steve is my kind of music. Loved it. Let me contribute with something: This guys is called Johnny Blues, it's a chilean street performer. He can be found in Paseo Ahumada (in the very heart of Santiago of Chile), and other streets near by. It is impressive that he is blind, check him out, hope you enjoy some chilean rockabilly: PD: I know it is not important, but as far as i like to draw conclusions out of things: it is sad so see chilean ppl, in general, are not that inclined to recognize good street performers. Usually they are solitary ppl, no one stops to see them unless they play the last hit on the radio. When they contribute to this performers, they give usually no more than 100 pesos. For what i see, most of the money you can see in the guitar case are 500 pesos coins (1 buck each)... so, I'm glad Johnny made 2 days of living there.

I see these guys in Union Square subway station often. They were just in the new Google commercial which I thought was pretty awesome! I am actually in one of the Youtube videos but I can't find it right now. I hope these guys make it big one day.
