tv series - so many, so little time...
i loved the -first season of heroes -lost, until the fourth season when it just pissed me off and i stopped watching it -first season of true blood -the shield!!!! -dexter, but not crazy about 4th season ending, which is where i left off -24, first 3 seasons -jericho, damn the burecrats for discontinuing it!!! -the fades (british, a 'little' like the walking dead) -the walking dead, but i'm sometimes tired of soap opera goings on -the pillars of the earth!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! if you like historical fiction and the middle ages, this is for you. -my name is earl -person of interest - really looking forward to next season -game of thrones !!!- HATE to have to wait for new season to start -homeland - actually really good, but more of a drama, don't expect a lot of action
now, because i've been told they're good, i intend to watch: the wire firefly farscape battlestar galactaca
i also watched the following. they're good, but i didn't like them as much as those at top: grimm awake deadwood flash forward entourage once upon a time
if you want me to suggest something, or if you want to ask about any of these, just ask
if i had to rank any, go by the amount of exclamation points in the sentance

i was trying to remember that name, but only could remember the 'hell' part
i did like it, mostly the production, the acting was decent or better. but somehow the story didn't quite satisfy
hope season 2 is better
oh, and these series go back for several years - lost and heroes in particular. i also don't watch network tv. watching tv series is what i do if i'm not gaming (right now civ V gods & kings and ET)
OH AND i just realized the OP was asking which tv show was better, yet i havn't watched either...D'OH!!!!!

I don't watch drama series too much, but I've seen a few. Law and Order is pretty good from what I've seen. One of my all time favorites is M*A*S*H. Memorable characters doing hilarious antics at an army hospital. Sounds a little weird if you haven't seen it but I find it to be quite good. And yes, I am a Spongebob fan, however the older ones are probably better then the newer ones. Band of Brothers. A great story of army paratroopers and there tour through Europe. Great acting and the story is well put together. I've also read the book and after doing so I'd say the series did very well at accuracy. I have not seen it's sister series, The Pacific. That' s probably it for me. There are a few shows that I've seen advertised that interest me. One is Sherlock, which I think is Sherlock Holmes in modern times. I love the movies with Robert Downey, Jr., so this one I'd like to eventually see. Oh, I also have seen a good amount of the first season of Heroes. I found that to be pretty good as well.

i live in the US but have been finding british shows that i really like. a nice thing about british tv is the 'seasons' are shorter. often only 6 episodes or so, instead of 12 or 20 like in the US. strike back is good, a little like homeland (but with more action). the first season has Andrew Lincoln, from Walking Dead. HE"S BRITISH!?! Gordon Ramsey's Ultimate Cookery Course is great, if you like cooking shows. (he's the guy from hell's kitchen, master chef, etc) and if you like history, and/or liked Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follet, the 'sequal' is being aired right now. it's called World Without End. set in the 1300's. great storytelling.
