no its not a cfg file, as far as i know. its tiny, 1KB and its only label is etkey. do a search on your c drive with just 'et' and go through what comes up

It's either in your Wolfenstein folder in Program files (etmain usually).
Or it can be there : C:->User->*USERNAME*->AppData->Local->Punkbuster->ET->etmain

so I found three different ones but none of them are in the "normal" et dir. If I let the game install where it wants to it is all there. Put it in a different location none of those three work. Frustrating. Just have to work back up if you guys dont come up with any others. Nothing is hidden. The cats yes (plural) or the new puppy could have ate it. I think it was when the porr.. was trying to get those dates with little w.

According to the "etkey" website at www.etkey.org/ on vista, the file goes into User->AppData->Local->Punkbuster->ET->etmain (replace "user" with the user's name).

Much easier way of finding your et key : C:\Program Files (x86)\Wolfenstein - Enemy Territory\etmain . For those that are using a 32 bit os just go to Program Files . Look for etkey . If you can't see it you can try this . Go to control panel , look for and click on "Folder options " and click the "View" tab , under "hidden files and folders " check off the button that says "show files , folders and drives " , then go back to your etmain folder as above and see if it is visible . For linux users , sorry you are on your own .
