Since this movie only just came out a few days ago, I won't talk too much about it so I won't give any spoilers away . I went and saw it the day it came out, and I really enjoyed it. Personally, I enjoyed this movie more than the first two. I always liked the relationship between Kirk, Spock, and McCoy. In these recent movies I felt that was lacking. It was more focused on Kirk, Spock, and Uhura. The thing I enjoyed most of from Beyond was that it rekindled the relationship between Bones, Kirk, & Spock. You see a lot more of the Bones & Spock banter/friendship in this movie, which drew me in. I always loved the bantering between Spock and McCoy in the originals. Scotty got his fair share of screen time too, (possibly because he helped write it ha). I liked how the movie split up the characters and each had their own sort of "side of the story" to tell while abandoned on the planet. I liked the new characters they introduced, Jaylah and Krall. There was plenty of humor and action. Overall, I enjoyed the plot of the movie. I will say the trailers really didn't do much justice for the movie. Getting the ship destroyed and being stranded on the planet is a big part of the movie, but it kind of missed out on the actual story itself. "The Artifact" that was introduced was a big part for the plot and I'm not sure that was even shown in the trailers. Overall, Beyond has been my favorite of the three and I recommend watching it if you enjoyed the first two. Rant over ENERGIZE!
