I seen a number today that kinda shocked me. The amount of my lifetime I've spent playing ET. What makes it scarier is it's not the total time, more time was spent (RTCW/ET-Demo) that wasn't logged to add to this number. 248 days playing ET. No,... not the; I wake up, eat, go to work, get home and play a bit for 248 days. That's 248 days of solid playing time. 7 months and 3 weeks non-stop gaming. If converted to 8hrs/day, that would be that would be 2 years. I must go Google 'ET anonymous', :/

I'm not going to dispute that you need help I was going to question that 248 number - because I do know that the total number on Trackbase is a bit warped/inflated, and obviously therefore discrepancies will increase over time. I'm less familar with Splatterladder, but delving deeper into a couple of my own current & recent playernames, using info from both sites, it could well be that SL's total is actually slightly under reported -- which in fact makes your situation worse xd. It's difficult to make sense of the numbers, because on both sites for various reasons they contradict themselves and each other wildly (TB inflates the total, deleted servers don't show, and on SL after a time servers disappear from the lists if not played on for like 120 days), but what we can definitely say is, according to the Server Info tab on TB (which from experience I believe to be accurate), you have spent 87.3 days on the QAW originals server, which is not to be sniffed at! (and bear in mind ofc that tracking only began in 2010 on TB). Whatever the case, we thereabouts know how much of our lives we have found pleasure in devoting to this game, and it really puts those '100 hours' boasts about modern game into perspective lol.
I made this name in the summer, and playing most nights for a couple of hours = about 10 days over half a year. Extrapolate that to 20 days/year, x15 years = 300 days, so your dubious achievement (xd) is certainly possible!

Lotsa hits for ETA on google, not so much for ET Anon. FShock, you only made me think of the more time I spent with Wolfenstien 3D, Doom 1,2,3,4, Quake 1,2,3, Heratic, DukeNuke'em plus the afore mentioned RTCW/ET, the 248days would be a conservative number. "bear in mind ofc that tracking only began in 2010 on TB..." I was playing RTCW about 1997/8, with ET-Demo from about 2000 on until the official release. So TB had missed over 12yrs of tracking at that point. "so your dubious achievement..." I've been on computers for 38yrs now. If I spent 2+ of those years gaming, then I feel 248days is within reason, and not so 'concerning' on an needs-an-intervention sorta thing. It's just 'shocking' to see-it-all-at-once/total-tally. Like someone piling in front of you all the sugar you eat in a year.

Hey, sorry if that sounded off. and the generaly irrelevant, rambling, and long-winded nature of my post in general lol [it's a character flaw]. It's an awesome achievement! - I meant 'dubious' in a jokey way, and just going along with that 'maybe you need help' theme Even if it wasn't within reason, nothing wrong with it. Those of us who have enjoyed this game for many many years know how much enjoyment we've got from it, and that's all that matters. I was around 16 when ET came out, and was so taken with it after playing at a mates' house, that I'd go to internet cafes now and then, download it, and play for a couple of hours there - due to not having a pc at home. Utterly hooked, and the addiction has not let up since. Some years ony a few times a month, but this game and its teamplay just scratches an itch which nothing else can satisfy. I used to play Wolf 3d in the mid 90s at my grandparents house, with my younger brother doing the shooting (ctrl), and me doing the moving. something like that anyway. Great times.
Definitely understand your point about seeing 248 days all at once, and it being only the tip of the iceberg. Shocking indeed!
